CHRIS SHAYOTA is a recent graduate of the UCLA Herb Alpert School of Music. At UCLA, he sang the role of Lacouf in Les mamelles de Tiresias, the Sailor in Dido and Aeneas, chorus in the world premeire of The Grand Hotel Tartarus, and participated in the Seraphic Fire Ensemble Artist Program.

He recently collaborated with Cheryl Lin Fielding on his senior voice recital, presenting works ranging from Beethoven to Bob Dylan. This Fall, Chris will begin work on a credential to teach high school English. In addition to singing Chris enjoys playing the harmonica, and spending time with his cat, Gandalf the Grey.
